When you’re sure that the stud fits snugly in each side of the stock and in the stock when clipped back together, start putting the stock back together. Then disassemble the stock using an Allen wrench. This imposed a couple challenges when shooting off the bench — first, it is a bit wobbly, and second- the rear bottom profile did not seat and move well in the rear bag rest.

I have been looking for something like this,no other good way to mount a hunting sling to that stock.
